he would look a little off since the last time they saw each other though. there are more grey hairs and he looks very tired.

[Tory doesn't know what exactly happened. In Trench, there are plenty of terrible things that could be responsible for Obi-Wan's present state. One thing's for sure - the man looks like he's seen better days.]

Hadn't heard that you were back until you sent me a message.

[Her tone turns a little more playful.]

[ It'd only been blood shit.

It's only been a week since the fears had cropped up over Tory's nausea and dizziness, but it's been a week unlike any other for Robby: the possibility of what it meant, what it would mean, and how exactly they would deal with it. A question between them that Robby has kept himself from talking about directly too much, even if he's wanted to do anything but.

But that would be opening a floodgate that can't be closed again, so he's kept his mouth shut. Waiting - just like Tory, he knows - with the invisible weight of the question burdening them, until the day of the clinic visit. Until after it, with Robby either going in with her or waiting outside (and she might want some privacy; there's no pregnancy tests here, but urine tests are still the better way of telling).

So when the results come, and when he knows -- he lets out a breath he knew he was holding in, runs his hands through his hair and approaches Tory, hands running along her shoulders and down her arms. A mouth ready to speak, until he decides just to hug her instead. ]

Think we need a vacation after that, [ he finally mumbles. ]

[Pardon her while she just returns the embrace and holds off on speaking for the next ten or so seconds.]

Hell yes.

[In some ways, an accident like this would have been easier to handle here in Trench than back home. Aside from the economic situation being easier, neither of them had their juvie record to contend with here. On the other hand, all of the dangers and blood complications of Trench would have made things so much more stressful. Ultimately, she's immensely relieved that it's a non-issue now.]

You know how when it's Thanksgiving time you're supposed to think of what you're thankful for? This test result is going to be pretty high on my list.

[After a moment, she teasingly adds,]

It's a good thing she's alone at the time, because she lets out a loud exclamation of "Dude what the fuck?!". Even understanding that it was definitely an accident, it's quite the overshare. She'll take "Things she didn't ever want to know about Maul" for $500, Alex.

After taking a minute to compose herself, she texts back a reply.]

Hey Maul, your text for Reaper got sent to me instead. Not sure if there's something wrong with the Omnis or what but you might want to double check your messages before hitting send.

Midoriya heard Tory talking about s'mores once, and he agrees they're delicious. He's delivered (c/o Eagle Fang dojo) plenty of s'mores ingredients (they're more fun when done in groups) as well as a variety of chocolate pastries carefully wrapped in a basket.

[This year, Maul had decided to behave himself when it came to giving gifts, unlike in years past where he broke into people's houses rather like Santa himself did. All gifts are left on the porch or front step of the recipient's home for them to find in the morning.

Getting a gift for someone who could conjure anything she wanted was rather difficult but Maul thought he'd hit upon a good idea that was something she wouldn't think of herself. He'd been practicing his sketching skills and had gotten pretty good right now. After a number of drafts, he finally had one he's satisfied with. He left it with a note wishing her a Merry Christmas signed from Darth Maul.]

[ It's nice to have an omni playing some random TV series on the projector in the living. Sometimes the shows are interesting, sometimes they're background noise, but it's a fun companion while Robby and Tory hang out eating dinner. Sometimes, you wanna eat on the couch than at a table.

There's a scene that's just played on the soap opera that's--kinda bad, but the kind of bad you can't stop watching. A character who'd gone to another school has shown up at her ex-boyfriend's door, him and his new girlfriend present. It's a loud back and forth. It's a stupid fight.

And yet Robby can't help but be inspired to ask because of it, almost wistfully (in an amused way): ]

[ She wouldn't do it for him, like this girl is doing. But, you know? Same energy. ]

[At that, Tory raises an eyebrow. She's mildly amused, but the question does get her thinking. What if other people from home did show up?]

In this weather? I'd probably just flip her off with a smile on my face from the window of our nice and warm house and not bother answering.

[Sometimes a little pettiness can be more satisfying than throwing a punch.]

[ Robby's avoided this, admittedly. Before he knew the details he does now, bringing up about his dad's deaths--he'd made a promise not to repeatedly bring his shit about his dad into the house, like a constant that followed his life. He kept the knowledge to himself, wondering if Tory already knew; but knowing what he does now, he figures she couldn't, she can't.

He knows he has to fix that, now. Soon as Tory can get home. ]

Ok. Should be home in a little under an hour. Just running an activity with the kids.

[She has to wonder what this is about. Is someone injured? Or planning something where injury is a real possibility, and Robby's hoping she can provide some weapons and first aid supplies? Hard to say what it could be within Trench.

She wraps up as promptly as she can, escaping the children's music practice with the recorders Mike made them.

Sure enough, she's home within 50 minutes.]

[It had been a fairy normal training session at the dojo, but there was a lingering nagging feeling at the back of Johnny's head. He knew that Tory and Robby were in a bit of a rough spot at the moment and that his actions had helped cause it.

It wasn't anything recent as far as he could tell- But he couldn't exactly go back and just undo all the deaths he had experienced in this world. It would be pretty darn handy if he could, but that was well beyond him.

Still- He felt like he should at least own up to it to the person one of the people actively being harmed by it.

So when he let's his students out for the day he'll raise a hand and point to Tory.]

Miss Nichols- Tory.

Do you have a minute?

[The dark around her eyes almost looks like smudged makeup - something that would make sense when training. Except she started class like that, and it's been like that every day she's come into class for the past week and a half.

She's been extra aggressive in class lately, too. Not so coincidentally, it started right about the same time as the dark around her eyes showed up.

She turns and nods her head when called.]

Yeah. Sure. Do you need something?

14th, birthday gift

[ On the 14th, Tory will come down into the kitchen to find a rather...surprise gift on the table. Possibly alarming, of how it got there, except she might just recognise the way her name's been written on the card standing propped by a small box, which sits next to a bouquet of roses: 18 of them, in dark reds and black.

Inside the box is a small caramel cake with chocolate frosting. As for the card, it has a rose design too, and written inside:
